UV-resistant textiles suitable for outdoor products

In recent decades, as a result of human activities, especially the increase in the use of Freon, the atmospheric ozone layer around the Earth has created a hollow, resulting in a rapid increase in ultraviolet radiation on the Earth's surface, resulting in an increase in the incidence of human skin cancer, seriously affecting Human health.

The national standard GB/T 18830-2009 "Evaluation of textiles against ultraviolet radiation" stipulates that textiles with UV protection factors of UPF> 40 and UV transmission ratio (UVA) <5% can be referred to as UV protection products. UV-resistant textiles can effectively prevent or reduce UV damage to the human body. UV-resistant textiles currently have two production routes:

(1) Spinning textiles in a conventional manner using UV-protective fibers directly. The key to this method is the UV resistance of UV protection fibers. The current production of UV-proof fibers is the use of inorganic ceramic micropowders mixed with polymer chips to make masterbatch and then spinning or fiber-forming polymer in the polymerization process, in the molten state, inorganic substance ceramic micropowder or substances with UV shielding properties These substances can strongly absorb ultraviolet rays with wavelengths between 280 nm and 400 nm.

(2) The use of functional finishing techniques, that is, the method of coating with UV-preventing finishing agents and textiles are firmly combined.

The UV-resistant textiles currently on the market include outdoor sportswear, UV-resistant shirts, parasols (parasols), curtains, and tents.
