The molecular structure of polypropylene is a typical bulk structure, which is a crystalline polymer with a molecular weight of 100,000 to 500,000. Second, the variety model

(1) Isotactic polypropylene, atactic polypropylene and syndiotactic polypropylene

The polypropylene molecule contains a methyl group, which is classified into isotaetic polypropylene, atactic PolyPropylene, and syndiotatic Polypropylene according to the position of the methyl group . The methyl group is arranged on the same side of the main chain of the molecule as isotactic polypropylene; if the methyl group is disorderly distributed on both sides of the main chain of the molecule, it is called atactic polypropylene; when the methyl groups are alternately arranged on both sides of the main chain, the syndiotactic Polypropylene. Generally, in the polypropylene resin produced, the content of the isotactic structure (called isotacticity) is about 95%, and the rest is random or syndiotactic polypropylene. The polypropylene resins currently produced in China are classified according to the melt index and the additives added. The main types of polypropylene resins are listed in Table 22-16.
